To show our appreciation for choosing us, here are some additional things to do, see and taste in Antigua!
NOM. NOM.
If you're looking for a nice dinner why not eat at one of Antigua's best hotels, the Panza Verde? Its always guaranteed to be a good meal with good cocktails. While you're there explore the grounds, gallery and rooftop.
Take an Uber or Tuk-Tuk a few minutes outside of Antigua and head to Cervecaria Catorce in Ciudad Viejo. It's a large micro brewery with a wide variety of beers. In the same location is a wonderful restaurant run by Feliz and Annie, popular local chefs.
SIP. SIP.
Ulew is Antigua's best cocktail bar by far. It literally has the countries best bartenders working there, as well as mixologists who have won the countries best bartender award in prior years. There is no menu at Ulew. We highly recommend you try a drink there. Just go through the phone booth to enter. If you want to see the "show", be sure to sit at the bar.
CAFE.
Guatemala has the 5th best coffee in the world. If your a coffee lover and you like your cafe with hints of caramel, this quaint coffeeshop by La Merced will not disappoint!
Only in Antigua! Visit this coffeeshop, computer repair business and liquor store, all in one! The coffee is wonderful and on the top floor there is a terrace with Instagram worthy views of the local volcanos!
One of our favorite beverages is the Nutella and Espresso smoothie! Very addictive. Cafe Boheme is run by a French couple who makes all of their pastries from scratch!
HEALTHY TIDBITS
Best Kale, avocado & peanut butter smoothie ever! They also have other great smoothies and a nice selection of hot teas.

ACTIVITIES
The Farmers Market at Caoba (Saturdays)
A wonderful farm with a fabulous restaurant, organic store, fresh produce, interesting goods and more! During the market, a wide variety of vendors are selling locally made goods, from food to soap and art. There is a free shuttle from the park to the farm and back. Contact them for more information.
The Santo Domingo & El Tenador
Visit the hotel that was once a monastery. While you're there, take their free shuttle to their hillside property and visit the museum, see the many art installations, see the aqueduct and their hillside restaurant, El Tenador. Ask any of the staff there about the shuttle to El Tenador and they will assist you.
Inspired by the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit films, Hobbitenango is a must visit. Not only does it have some of the BEST cocktails in all of Antigua, but there are a number of unique activities, an all you eat buffet and amazing views! There is a shuttle from their office, a short distance from the entrance of the cross.
SOUVENIRS & MORE
You can find a wide variety of trinkets to bring back to your loved ones in this huge store located on the arch street. Note, they also have a shuttle to their hillside organic farm to table restaurant, Cerro San Cristobal. The shuttle is 10Q and it's a 10 minute ride to the farm. There are wonderful views, paths to stroll and two orchid greenhouses.
Located in Antigua's large outdoor market, the artists section has many items from leather goods, to knives, hamocks, bags, shot glasses, coats and almost anything you can imagine.
Pastores
Right outside of Antigua is the lovely, small town of Pastores. In the main drag there are a number of stores that make leather and cloth shoes, bags, wallets and more by hand. Many people come here and have items custom made for them. Shoes can cost about $60 and up. Delivery times and quality depend on the vendor. You can get there by Tuk-Tuk or taxi. If you'd like you're own driver, contact us and we can arrange a trip for you.
If you visit any of the places below, we'd love to know if you enjoyed it! Feel free to contact us and share your experience.
